G.K. Ndungu is a seasoned public policy and governance expert with 20 years of experience in the development sector. His expertise spans policy development, institutional strengthening, economic governance (with a focus on decentralization), legislative strengthening, political economy, and strategic management.
G.K. specializes in understanding the complex interplay between political and economic processes that drive development. He is passionate about bridging the gap between policy intent and execution by promoting bureaucratic, organizational, and institutional reforms that enable good governance and inclusive growth.
Throughout his career, G.K. has worked extensively with governments, non-governmental organizations, development partners, and the private sector. His work includes providing advisory support for policy improvement, managing multimillion-dollar donor-funded programs (USAID, FCDO, and the UN), and advancing private sector development. Notably, he has collaborated with the Government and Parliament of Kenya to design and implement programs that promote accountability, local development, and good governance.
G.K. holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Moi University and an MSc in Public Policy from University College London (UCL).
